Death Cab For Cutie announces a new LP, Kintsugi
Death Cab For Cutie has announced its latest LP, the first since 2011’s Codes And Keys. The curiously named Kintsugi is due out March 31—the same day as that Sufjan Stevens record—and is the group’s first record following the departure of founding member and guitarist Chris Walla. Recorded in Los Angeles, the record takes its name from a Japanese art form that involves using precious metals to repair cracked ceramics, thus highlighting the imperfections rather than masking them.
As you’d expect, a tour will accompany the record’s release, although no dates have been announced just yet.
