Deer Tick goes looking for Divine Providence on new album due out Oct. 24
The music of Rhode Island's Deer Tick can be broadly described as indie folk, but the group's rabid, beer-hungry energy is a little too rude for that polite genre tag. Deer Tick's forthcoming record, Divine Providence—the title nods to the group's hometown—is a noisy rock 'n' roll record in the spirit of The Replacements and Kids In Philly era Marah. (We'll have more to say when our review runs in a few weeks.) The album comes out Oct. 24, but the band has offered up a short film as both a behind-the-scenes look at the making of Divine Providence and a trailer of sorts. Check it out.
