Deerhunter announces its fall U.S. tour schedule
Atlanta-based indie rock band Deerhunter has announced that it’s going back on the road, less than a year after finishing its worldwide tour in support of 2015’s critically-acclaimed seventh studio album Fading Frontier. This time, though, the four-person band won’t be heading anywhere that would necessitate stepping onto an airplane or boat, picking 17 cities within the continental United States in which to make droney guitar sounds before largely bearded audiences.
The tour will begin in early October with shows in Covington and Louisville, Kentucky before heading west and then north and finally snaking over to the east coast for performances in New York City and Baltimore at the tail end of the month.
