School was indeed out for the summer when TeenNick canceled teen dramedy Degrassi: The Next Generation after 14 seasons. Fortunately for the afterschool-special crowd, the series was soon picked up by Netflix (with or without Drake’s help). But, as the newly released trailer proves, the change in ownership hasn’t affected the overwrought storylines or PSAs. Now dubbed Degrassi: Next Class, the series will still follow the same group of Degrassi students, including Zig, Lola, and Shay. And the Canadian teens will continue to have trouble in matters of education, love, and whatever it is that results in two kids getting SWATed. Also, someone’s having sex dreams about Jonah (it’s Zoe, we think).
