Deleted Scenes get dark, depressing in a new music video

D.C. art rock act Deleted Scenes have released a couple of full-lengths, but it’s the group’s latest, Lithium Burn, that’s really burning bright right now. Out last month on Park The Van, the record features intense but poppy tracks like “Let’s Not Fix Everything At Once” and “Stutter,” the latter of which comes complete with a brilliantly cinematic video. Now, continuing that tradition of bleak and realistic clips, the group has released the video that accompanies “Landfall,” in which group member Dan Scheuerman drowns himself. It’s depressing, to say the least, but if you’re into that sort of thing, then you might dig it.

Lithium Burn is available now as both an LP and a CD. It’s also available now on iTunes. Deleted Scenes kicks off its latest tour this week, and dates are available on the band’s website.
