Demi Moore to star in TV show as a TV show writer
According to The Hollywood Reporter, Demi Moore has signed on to star in 10 Days In The Valley, a new drama series from Rookie Blue co-creator Tassie Cameron. Moore will play a TV writer and single mother named Jane Sadler who has to deal with all of the usual pressures that tend to come with being a TV writer and single mother. Namely, she’s overworked, had a “tumultuous separation” from her ex, and her 5-year-old daughter was kidnapped in the middle of the night. You know, the usual stuff that writers have to worry about.
It sounds like the majority of 10 Days In The Valley will focus on Moore’s quest to find her missing daughter and not the day-to-day drama of writing for a television show, even though that would also be pretty interesting. But no, it turns out that she “must put everything on the line—including her TV show, her loyalties, and her deepest and darkest secrets—to get her child back.” As THR notes, this will be Moore’s first regular TV role since she was on General Hospital in the ‘80s and her first TV role period since a guest appearance on Will & Grace in 2003. The production company behind 10 Days In The Valley is currently trying to sell it to networks.
