We just can’t decide between these two badasses: One is the most powerful person in the world; the other, possibly the universe. It’s kind of hard to watch Designated Survivor (ABC, 10 p.m.) right now, as Kiefer Sutherland portrays a POTUS we like about a million times better than the current one. This week: “Circles must tighten as a new discovery within the conspiracy emerges. Meanwhile, tension rises… as suspicions loom in the White House.” Hey, maybe this show has more in common with reality than we thought. Zack Handlen, we will expect your compare-and-contrast report on our desk first thing.
Or if you prefer a character who can create his own astral planes: Somehow there are only three more episodes of the first season of Legion (FX, 10 p.m.), and we are still hella confused and almost completely in the dark. Yet, we can’t stop watching, because this show is like nothing we’ve ever seen. Danette Chavez will try to parse it all out, stepping in this week for Alex McLevy, who definitely isn’t at a Clockworks-like institute or anything like that.

Forgetting Sarah Marshall (HBO, 8 p.m.): Jason Segel, Kristen Bell, Mila Kunis, Bill Hader, Russell Brand, and baby Jonah Hill populate this hilarious 2008 comedy about a man getting over a breakup. Plus, as you’re probably getting blasted by snow right now (if you are in the northern half of the continental U.S.), you can vicariously enjoy the sunny climes of Hawaii, where most of this movie takes place.
