American TV has had intense drama shows about drugs, the music industry, and oil dynasties, but one hugely profitable and largely evil industry that has yet to really get the TV treatment is diamond mining. Antoine Fuqua’s upcoming series Ice looks to change that, even if it’s more about the illegal diamond trade in Los Angeles than it is about the horrible things that happen in the name of getting the diamonds out of the ground in the first place. Still, nobody seems to be having any fun in this trailer for Ice, which makes us wonder why anyone would bother getting involved in such a dangerous business in the first place.
Ice stars Cam Gigandet, Jeremy Sisto, Ray Winstone, Judith Shekoni, Ella Thomas, Chloe East, Raymond J. Barry, and Donald Sutherland. It’ll premiere on November 16 on DirecTV and AT&T U-Verse’s Audience Network.
