Dick Wolf to just keep on being the most common name on TV
In the criminally unjust Hollywood system, failure-to-renew offenses are considered especially heinous. In Los Angeles, the dedicated detectives who determine these vicious felonies are members of an elite squad known as the Special Network Executive Unit. These are their stories.

Looks like there’s no crime here, after all: NBC’s hardworking executives have renewed all four of Dick Wolf’s current procedurals airing on its network. Chicago PD, Chicago Fire, Chicago Med, and Law & Order: SVU have all been renewed—for a sixth, seventh, fourth, and 20th season, respectively. This guarantees that between reruns of the various Law & Order series and Wolf’s Chicago-based programs, the words “Dick Wolf” will be the most common phrase seen on TV, followed closely by Netflix’s “Next episode in 5, 4, 3…”
All of the shows are solid performers for NBC, with SVU leading the pack as one of the network’s highest-rated shows, though they all pull in ratings between 1.1-1.3 for adults 18-49 and between almost 6 and 7 million viewers total. No word yet on whether Wolf will continue to enjoy the spoils of saying “What if we did that thing I did before, but with firefighters/doctors/cops/etc.?” or if he’ll decide to launch a new series of shows featuring vaguely interchangeable professions but really change it up. You know, set them in Cleveland, or something.
