Did Wayward Pines just deliver one of the most audacious television episodes of the year?

Staff writers Alex McCown and Joshua Alston assumed Wayward Pines would keep chugging along at its established pace, tossing out one tantalizing mystery after another with nary an explanation in sight. They were wrong. And in episode five, “The Truth,” Megan Fisher (Hope Davis) tells them just how wrong they were. And tells them. And then tells them a little more. (Seriously, it’s kind of a sermon.) Alex and Joshua untangle the episode’s mind-blowing revelations and it’s elegant, unusual structure, then try to pretend they have any clue as to what might happen next. The question is: Can Alex and Joshua handle “The Truth?” Can you? Could anyone?
