iTunes has launched a premium store that sells music without copyright protection, though at a rather steep price boost–$1.29 per track. (Associated Press)

Music/social site Last.fm looks to get even bigger now, thanks to its new owner, CBS. It's not clear how this will affect the site, but CBS' talk of transforming it "from a content company to an audience company" is a little ominous. Or would be if translated into plain English ("more like MySpace," roughly?)… (Reuters)
