District 9 star finds next gig with The A-Team, as do Jessica Biel and Patrick Wilson
EmpireOnline reports that one of the year’s biggest breakout actors, Sharlto Copley from District 9, has joined the cast of the Ridley Scott-produced The A-Team, to be directed by Joe Carnahan. Copley will round out the team cast as Capt. “Howling Mad” Murdock, joining Liam Neeson’s Col. John “Hannibal” Smith, Bradley Cooper’s Lt. Templeton “Faceman” Peck, and Quinton “Rampage” Jackson’s Sgt. Bosco “B.A.” Baracus. The newsbreak also included the questionable casting of Jessica Biel in a double role as both the former girlfriend of “Faceman” Peck and the general pursuing the A-Team, a group of Iraq War vets on the run after being framed for a crime they didn’t commit. Additional casting news later revealed that Watchmen’s Patrick Wilson (the often bare-assed Nite Owl) also joined the cast as a CIA operative, leading to speculation that he may be the film’s villain instead of Biel’s general. Let’s hear it folks: Who would you prefer as the villain in the film’s final smackdown? Biel or Wilson?
