The Doctor Who Christmas special has become a yearly tradition, to help stave off the DTs (delirium TARDIS) between regular seasons. Peter Capaldi’s third outing as the Twelfth Doctor isn’t slated to air until April 2017, so fans will have to tide themselves over with this special episode. BBC America shared a behind-the-scenes look wrapped in a teaser of the yuletide event while at New York Comic Con. As promised, Matt Lucas returns as Nardole, who was previously in River Song’s employ. There’s also a hint of Justin Chatwin’s reported superhero character, because not even the Brits are immune to the charms of caped crusaders. The only things missing are new companion Bill and a premiere date, so stay tuned.
