Last night’s Doctor Who Christmas special was a fun albeit slight romp, but it mostly wrapped up the mysteries it introduced by episode’s end. Not so the trailer for season 10, though, which is chockablock with questions from new companion Bill Potts (Pearl Mackie). She has a handle on her own profession, but isn’t entirely clear on just what Doctor What—as she claims to call him—does. In the midst of being dutifully impressed by all the interdimensional travel, she stops to wonder about their location in the spacetime continuum, whether there’s a loo aboard the TARDIS, and what a Dalek is. Peter Capaldi’s Twelfth Doctor is anything flustered by the constant queries, noting that even after he saves a planet and all its inhabitants, they’ll never really know him.
Another item that remains up in the air is the premiere date for Doctor Who season 10, which is currently just being hailed as returning in the spring.
