Doctor Who's Karen Gillan will also be in Guardians Of The Galaxy
Offering some small bit of good news to jilted Doctor Who fans, besides the fact that they are still alive and not being shunted off to labor camps, popular companion Karen Gillan has landed her biggest film role to date in Marvel’s Guardians Of The Galaxy. According to The Hollywood Reporter, the Scottish actress will play the “lead female villain”—which doesn’t really help much, considering both Lee Pace and Michael Rooker have been described as being the film’s lead villains, to varying degrees of confusion. However, only of them will be a long-legged redhead who reminds you of Doctor Who, which should help you tell them apart. Gillan joins other confirmed cast members Chris Pratt, Zoe Saldana, Dave Bautista, (possibly) John C. Reilly, and Glenn Close in the film where everyone just wants to know who’s playing the space raccoon already.
