Does Rick And Morty have cross-generational appeal?

In the Mom On Pop podcast, Bonney Teti—mother of A.V. Club senior editor John Teti—shares her unfiltered thoughts on the pop culture of the day.

We all know the kids love their Rick And Morty, with good reason. I finally caught up on the series recently, and I was an instant convert. But I wondered whether Mom would tolerate—let alone love—the show’s mix of heady sci-fi premises, casual violence, and belching. Is Rick And Morty’s genius so profound that it can win over a Baby Boomer, too? Listen to the podcast to find out.

Aside from Rick And Morty, Mom also reviews last week’s new Google logo, although she struggles to care that the search giant chopped some “toenails” off its letters. And in keeping with the “road trip” theme of late, Mom recaps her recent road trip to Maine and shares impressions from this year’s visit to New Hampshire’s state fair.

Mom On Pop is available on iTunes, and there’s a podcast RSS feed if you want to subscribe to the show in other apps. Never miss an episode!
