Dolly Parton didn’t star in a lot of movies after she got seriously into acting in the 1980s, but the ones she did make left a strong impact. (Give or take a Frank McKlusky, C.I. here or there, anyway.) In light of that, and in the wake of Parton’s passing on Tuesday, AMC Theaters has announced that it’s launching a tribute to the late country superstar and enduring screen presence, stating that it’ll be putting two of Parton’s films—Steel Magnolias and The Best Little Whorehouse In Texas—back into theaters starting this weekend.
