Dom and family to heroically disregard Manhattan traffic laws in Fast 8
Vin Diesel’s Dominic Toretto has fought on both sides of the law, hauled a vault down a Brazilian highway, and jumped his car through multiple skyscrapers. The guy beat Jason Statham dueling with a pair of comically oversized wrenches, for goodness sake. In fact, his only weaknesses are male-pattern baldness and a lack of Little Italy hookups to score some dank capicola or mortadella.
According to Uproxx, at least one of those Achilles’ heels will be addressed in the next installment of the Fast & Furious saga, which will send Dom and his crew to the Big Apple. Diesel shared the news during an appearance on The Tonight Show, where he also discussed the recent addition of director F. Gary Gray. And while Gray doesn’t have much experience in the milieu of absurdly over-the-top action, his Straight Outta Compton generated an amount of money worthy of a Furious-type heist, which is the only qualification the studios probably care about.
