Don Hertzfeldt is making a sequel to World Of Tomorrow
On days like these, when the only joys we are still able to experience seem to be spiteful ones, what we need most is something pure. Something beautiful, even if it’s devastating at the same time. Something that gives us something to look forward to. Something like this:
That’s a missive from animator Don Herzfeldt, whose Oscar-nominated short film World Of Tomorrow The A.V. Club’s Noel Murray called “2015’s best film” in his appreciation back in April of that year. As Birth.Movies.Death notes, Hertzfeldt’s been dropping hints on his social-media accounts about a new project for a while, but now the nature of the project, and its subtitle The Burden Of Other Peoples’ Thoughts, have been confirmed. That’s about all we know for now, but in the meantime you can revisit World Of Tomorrow on Netflix or by buying it directly from Hertzfeldt on Vimeo or as part of his Hertzfeldt On Blu-ray set.
