Here’s some bad news for desperate criminals looking to make an easy score by breaking into homes belonging to elderly blind soldiers: Fede Alvarez’s thriller Don’t Breathe is probably getting a sequel. We don’t actually know if it’ll involve more people foolishly pissing off a blind badass like the first movie, but Alvarez and co-writer Rodo Sayagues are at least pretty sure that the movie is going to happen. Speaking with Coming Soon, the two revealed that they’re developing a Don’t Breathe sequel and that they “know exactly where it goes,” but they wouldn’t say much more beyond that. If we had to guess, we’d say the sequel will be called Can’t Breathe and it’ll involve criminals evading a blind man while in space or underwater, but that’s just wishful thinking.
We probably won’t be seeing this sequel for a while, though, as Alvarez is now attached to direct The Girl In The Spider’s Web, the long-in-the-works sequel to David Fincher’s The Girl With The Dragon Tattoo.
