Don’t mess with Quinn
Here’s what’s up in the world of TV for Monday, July 27. All times are Eastern.
Top pick
UnREAL (Lifetime, 10 p.m.): Look, we were totally intending to switch things up by picking a show other than UnREAL as this week’s top pick for Monday night, but then the promo put out by Lifetime for tonight’s episode began with the words “You don’t mess with the Quinn,” and we just couldn’t help ourselves. It’s the penultimate episode, and shit is going down behind the scenes of Everlasting. UnREAL could probably give Jane The Virgin a run for its money in a contest of how long one’s “previouslies” run for. So much happens on this show. And last week, shippers rejoiced…unless they were Jeremy/Rachel shippers, but is anyone buying into that boring matchup? No thank you. Chet was the literal worse, but remember: You don’t mess with the Quinn, so hopefully she set out to destroy him in tonight’s “Princess.” But first, she has Rachel and Adam in her crosshairs, because the two dummies didn’t think about the fact that there was most definitely a camera in Adam’s room during their little late-night meetup. “You are a hateful, conniving bitch,” Adam hurls at Quinn when she sets out to blackmail them, as if he doesn’t know she would take that as a compliment. Yep, get ready for lots of Quinning tonight.
Also noted
Odd Mom Out (Bravo, 10 p.m.): Brooke and the mombots set out to find who has been telling hard truths to their children. Considering how things went when she babysat Jill’s kids for an evening, our money’s on Vanessa. Meanwhile, Andy discovers Lex has a secret (is it his micropenis?).
Regular coverage
WWE Monday Night Raw (USA, 8 p.m.)
BoJack Horseman (Netflix, 6 p.m.)
Elsewhere in TV Club
In honor of Netflix’s Wet Hot American Summer sequel, A.V. Club staff share the lessons we’ve learned from fictional summer camps. And Noel Murray tells you why Angel was so much more than just a Buffy The Vampire Slayer redux in the latest TV Club 10.
What else is on?
The Bachelorette (ABC, 8 p.m.): Season 11 draws to a conclusion, as Kaitlyn introduces her family to both Shawn and Nick, takes the remaining two bachelors on two final dates, and finally makes her decision. And then a drunk producer crashes the party and tells the world the truth about this industry before riding off in one of the show’s Ferraris…if only this show were more like UnREAL.
The Bachelorette: After The Final Rose (ABC, 10 p.m.): For all you Bachelorette addicts out there, fear not: Kaitlyn may have made her choice, but there is still one more hour of coverage, as she gives her traditional post-final-rose live interview.
So You Think You Can Dance (Fox, 8 p.m.): Dang, there’s a lot of reality television on Monday nights. In reality competition series land, SYTYCD eliminates two contestants, and the top 18 dancers perform. Oliver Sava drops in to comment on this season’s reinvigorating “Stage Vs. Street” format.
American Ninja Warrior (NBC, 8 p.m.): And in reality warrior land, the Houston Finals go down on American Ninja Warrior.
Running Wild With Bear Grylls (NBC, 10 p.m.): It’s Kate Winslet’s turn to go on an adventure with Bear.
Jurassic Park (Syfy, 7 p.m.): If only the High Heels Edition box set of Jurassic Park were a reality. For now, you’ll just have to watch the characters run around in the original with their pre-CGI footwear.
Harry Potter And The Deathly Hallows, Part 2 (ABC Family, 6 p.m.): Sure, why not!
MLB Baseball: Yankees at Rangers (ESPN, 8 p.m.): The Yankees head to Texas.
In case you missed it
Masters Of Sex: The Lizzy Caplan Show continues to be great.
