Apparently, outside of a few boxers, mixed martial arts is the new bloodsport the kids are all into these days, what with Fox getting in on the action and recently airing a big UFC bout to a national audience. But it's good to know some still long for the day when two brawny, macho men can step into a ring and go toe-to-toe in an all-out boxing slugfest to determine who's the better of the two. Or, at least it can happen in our minds. And it's from the mind of illustrator Jon Defreest that this poster comes to us, via Vulture, hyping a battle between two of the greatest alpha males to ever grace the television screen: Jack Donaghy versus Ron Swanson. (If Defreest's name sounds familiar, it's because he's responsible for a slew of great pop culture-related art including those badass custom Chuck Taylors.) One question lingers, though: would this battle between heavyweights take place? An appropriate tagline depends on it. The Rumble in Rockafeller? The Pugnacity In Pawnee? As for who would win, the words of a wise man who was once asked who would win in the match-up "Da Bears versus Da Bulls" comes to mind:
"The senseless waste of pitting these two mighty forces of nature against each other, like matter vs. anti-matter, will be a tragedy, not only for the teams involved but for our planet. All nations must band together, to ensure that such a conflageration never takes place."
