Donald Trump is slowly being removed from his own websites
As a fart slowly dissipates into the air, so too is President-elect Donald Trump slowly dissolving into the ether of his own websites. The New York Times has produced a photo essay documenting his team’s belated, feeble, and incomplete attempt to distance him from his vast business holdings, many of which are based not just on his name but on his very orange visage.
There are a variety of techniques used. One is to simply replace Trump with his spirit animal: a glass building.
In other instances he has been replaced with a visual manifestation of the yawning chasm he has instead of a sense of decency.
Wherever he is going, he is taking his daughter with him: Her face and name are also dissolving ethereally from the Trump brand’s digital presence. No longer shall her maudlin jewelry be pawned on the Trump Tower’s website:
While Trump has declined to fully divest himself of his business interests, a decision that has delighted the majority of the country who did not vote for him and are actively wagering on his impeachment, he has publicly reiterated that his sons will be taking over their day-to-day operation. Thus while he and daughter-wife Ivanka have been removed from this Trump International Realty page, Donald Trump Jr., who is eerily referred to as “Don” below, and his brother Eric “Shitty Vampire from Blade” Trump remain.
As the full New York Times piece notes, there remain many, many images of Trump and his daughter on business-related websites, so there is work to be done for whatever team of harried, underpaid serfs he has scrambling to make this presidency legally viable. Clock’s ticking.
