Given his obsession with walls and doing and/or saying anything in the quest for power, Donald Trump and Game Of Thrones go together quite nicely. In “Winter Is Trumping,” one fine YouTube knight, Huw Parkinson, has crafted an impressive mashup, blending real footage and audio from Trump with scenes from Game Of Thrones. He rambles about “radical Islam” to Daenerys Targaryen, confuses Tyrion Lannister with his nonsensical babble, and insists to Littlefinger that “Donald Trump is a very nice person” (a delusional recitation that Littlefinger probably also tells himself in the mirror every day).
Of course, Trump is also seen patrolling The Wall. The New York real estate developer fits alarmingly well in the world of Westeros, especially when he starts monologuing about how he’s going to bring back waterboarding and “a hell of a lot worse than waterboarding.” In Westeros, he could get away with all kinds of torture. And even the characters in Game Of Thrones seem to be asking themselves what exactly this guy is going on about.
