Bringing sassy comfort to those who may have worried that Tyler Perry had forever ditched his housedress to play detective in the Alex Cross series, Lionsgate has announced via press release that it's renewed its contract with Perry for many, many more years of minstrel show morality lessons to come, including at least two more Madea films after Madea’s Big Happy Family debuts next month. And while the prospect of only three more movies in which Madea whups some sense into society may have you suddenly feeling cold and uncertain about the future, rest assured that the deal allows for the option of even more Madea, should Perry suddenly find the inspiration for further stories, or maybe just need to line his entire private island with Grecian columns and potpourri baskets.
