Tech-house duo Simian Mobile Disco have announced a brief tour in March alongside fellow electro-head The Juan Maclean, and by way of preview it’s offering a free download of its recent Mixed Delicacies disc until noon tomorrow. After 2009’s indie-rock-star-aided pop crossover Temporary Pleasure, last year’s Delicacies saw SMD return to instrumental dance-floor bangers built on minimalist melodies and plenty of rhythmic low end. The accompanying Mixed Delicacies disc—which again, you can download for free right now—is a continuous live-mix version of that album’s eight songs, demonstrating what SMD is capable of in a stage setting, and offering a glimpse of what you can probably expect if you go to one of the shows below.
