Download the Tina Fey-Christopher Cross duet from the new 30 Rock soundtrack

The poorly kept secret of 30 Rock is that it’s actually a musical with unusually long dialogue breaks; in fact, it breaks into song so often that the show necessitates its very own double-disc soundtrack, due out on Nov. 16. Although the bulk of the collection is incidental music from show composer (and Tina Fey’s husband) Jeff Richmond, the special collector’s edition also comes packed with soon-to-be-standards like “Muffin Top” and “Tennis Night,” along with a book full of interviews, photos, and “an illustrated interpretation of ‘Werewolf Bar Mitzvah.’” (Sadly, the soundtrack does not include any selections from Sing Dem Blues, White Girl: The Jackie Jormp-Jomp Story, despite that film’s disclaimers that it is in no way affiliated with the life or music of Janis Joplin.) It also includes a "duet" from Christopher Cross and Liz Lemon called “Lemon's Theme” (based on the faux-Christopher Cross song Liz improvises in the season four episode “Floyd”), which you can download from Pitchfork right now. Don’t worry: It has plenty of saxophones and wind chimes.
