Dr. Teeth And The Electric Mayhem make their festival debut

Dr. Teeth And The Electric Mayhem were the eclectic house band from The Muppet Show, but even though the Muppets themselves aren’t too busy these days, the group still hasn’t been putting on very many live performances for some reason. That finally changed over the weekend, when Dr. Teeth And The Electric Mayhem made their festival debut at Outside Lands in San Francisco, playing a handful of covers and showing some jokey pre-taped segments about San Francisco and the wacky adventures they had trying to get to the show.

As reported by Stereogum, Dr. Teeth And The Electric Mayhem performed Scott McKenzie’s “San Francisco,” Edward Sharpe And The Magnetic Zeroes’ “Home,” the Band’s “Ophelia,” and the Beatles’ “With A Little Help From My Friends.” You can see a video of their set below, and though none of their Muppet friends show up, the “green frog” does get mentioned at least.
