Drake’s been teasing his fourth studio album, Views From The 6, for a while now, almost since Nothing Was The Same was released back in 2013. The Canadian rapper debuted the album’s lead single “Summer Sixteen” back in January, which he happened to perform at a bat mitzvah in February. Now with Views From The 6 set to drop “sometime” in April—with a possible tour later this year—Drake has just released two new songs, including a collaboration with Kanye West and Jay Z.
West and Jay Z are credited as The Throne—a nod to 2011’s Watch The Throne—on “Pop Style,” which is Drake’s own weary-lies-the-head track about upstarts and pretenders to the, well, throne. Jay Z raps a line or two, but West contributes a solid verse, in which he sneaks a reference to one of his most infamous, Taylor Swift-adjacent moments. And on “One Dance,” Drake teams up with WizKid, the Nigerian Afropop sensation, and Kyla for another dancehall track to follow his recent Rihanna collaboration, “Work.”
Both songs are available for purchase on iTunes and Apple Music, which are expected to exclusively release the album later this month.
