Drake’s More Life will require more patience, with release now set for 2017
If you were among the multitudes who were excited to find out what the hell Drake’s intriguing “playlist project” was all about when it was released this month, you might want to sit down. Or just lean soulfully against a shimmering well-stocked personal bar with a slight tinge of sadness in your faraway eyes. More Life’s release is being pushed back into 2017. When in 2017? Not sure exactly, but probably early 2017, according to Fact Magazine. Drake’s manager and OVO Sound co-founder Oliver El-Khatib broke the bad news on OVO Radio over the weekend.
Perhaps it’s just as well though, as the 30-year-old hip-hop titan had already jam-packed 2016 with impressive accomplishments, including eight Grammy nominations for his multi-platinum album Views, and the title of Most Streamed Artist on Spotify. And let’s not forget that Houston strip club he’s got in the works. This year literally had no more room for the successes of Drake.
