After both Guillermo Del Toro and Ron Perlman accepted defeat in their quest to make Hellboy 3 a reality, we poured one out for the sequel and apocalypse that might have been. Now a Tennessee distillery wants to give us a more potent way to drown our sorrows, with a Hellboy-inspired cinnamon whiskey. We know chasing beer with liquor is anecdotally inadvisable, but we’re also admittedly curious about this hellish hooch. XXX Distillery LLC in Sevierville has officially teamed up with Dark Horse Comics and Prestige Imports LLC to produce Hell Water, which is a bit less fun to order than a shot of Fireball. But at least the devil’s in the details:
XX Distillery’s launching the craft-distilled, small batch cinnamon whiskey today with tastings at its Pigeon Forge and Sevierville locations. Though there’s no real indication in the comics or movies—where we’ve seen him imbibe rum, tequila, and beer—that Hellboy’s a cinnamon whiskey drinker, he’d probably still get a kick out of seeing his face on the label of something he could get drunk with.
