Okay people, the time for reflection is done, and it’s time to gear up and grapple with the entertainment of ’10. Specifically, there are new seasons of Chuck and Big Love about to begin, which means you’ll need to catch up with the previous seasons if you haven’t already. (At the least, you need to watch the Big Love S3 episode “Come, Ye Saints,” a near-peerless hour of dramatic television.) For those of you still stuck in the past though, this DVD Release week offers a heavy dose of retro, whether it be the first, eco-friendly season of SuperFriends or Ralph Bakshi’s Dadaist late ‘80s revamp of Mighty Mouse. And for those still filling out your Best Of ’09 ballots, the excellent Dardennes brothers drama Lorna’s Silence is well worth your attention. Of course it's no SuperFriends. (But what is?)
