Eat your heart out, mixologists: A few recipes for Ecto-Cooler cocktails

The controversy over the new Ghostbusters movie makes us want to do one thing: drink. Luckily the fine folks over at Pâté Smith have devised a recipe for a boozy Hi-C Ecto-Cooler, so you can drown your whiny, man-related sorrows in an unnaturally green drink. You could just buy some of the stuff—which has been revived in light of the reboot—and dump the alcohol of your choice in it. However, this recipe isn’t that hard, and then you get bragging rights about having made Ecto-Cooler from scratch.

If you are loyal to the brand, but still want to do something fancy, the Milwaukee Record has some cocktail recipes that use the kid’s beverage as an ingredient. Take, for instance, the “Boneslimer,” which combines Ecto-Cooler with tequila, simple syrup, lime juice, Tabasco, and black pepper. Honestly, it sounds delicious.

We’re fine with having our childhoods ruined if it means we’re allowed to get wasted.
