Edgar Wright asked retail workers for their most tolerated—and most hated—holiday songs

Every year as the holiday season dawns, the same debate arises: What’s the most painful holiday song that we have to hear over and over until the very end of the year? Baby Driver director Edgar Wright took to Twitter and went straight to the source, the brave souls who have to endure those songs on an infinite loop: retail workers.

He was quickly flooded with responses:

As always, two songs appear to be the most divisive: Mariah Carey’s “All I Want For Christmas (Is You)” and Paul McCartney’s “Wonderful Christmastime,” which both can be described as everything from comforting nostalgia to nightmare-inducing treacle. While they each have their defenders, as devout haters of the latter, we were somewhat gratified by Wright’s summation:
