Edward James Olmos signs on to Shane Black’s The Predator
Though he missed the stylish catalog photo and the surly field trip, Edward James Olmos has joined the cast of Shane Black’s The Predator. That comes from The Hollywood Reporter, which says that Olmos—like a lot of the people in the movie—will be “a military character.” We don’t know anything about him beyond that, but in addition to doing military stuff, he’ll presumably be good at captaining a spaceship and teaching inner-city kids how to do math.
The movie is said to be a reboot of the classic “humans realize they’re being hunted by an alien monster” story, but this time it’ll be in a suburban setting instead of a jungle, a city, Antarctica, a small town, or an alien planet. Alongside Olmos, it will include Jacob Tremblay, Keegan-Michael Key, Trevante Rhodes, Thomas Jane, Alife Allen, Yvonne Strahovski, and Olivia Munn.
