Edward Norton issues statement on The Avengers, confounds the "Edward Norton is sort of a dick" theory

After Marvel issued a statement informing everyone that Edward Norton’s services would no longer be required on The Avengers, it established a catchy, warmly familiar logline that everyone could understand: Norton wasn’t a team player, and his outrageous demands for creative control over his career didn’t gel with the “collaborative spirit” that the film required. But just as everyone agreed on the “Edward Norton is sort of a dick” theorem, considered the case closed, and moved on to making jokes about casting Mel Gibson, along comes Norton with a gracious rebuttal posted to his Facebook. It’s decidedly un-dickish and absolutely takes the high road. Total dick move, Norton.
