El Vy kicks off this week’s 30 Days, 30 Songs anti-Trump protest with a video game

Introducing Endless Mode: A New Games & Anime Site from Paste
Dave Eggers’ 30 Days, 30 Songs project, which is releasing anti-Trump music every day until the election, has already given us Death Cab For Cutie’s “Million Dollar Loan” and Franz Ferdinand’s “Demagogue,” and now it’s kicking off its second week with a new track from Matt Berninger and Brent Knopf’s group El Vy. Titled “Are These My Jets,” the 30 Days, 30 Songs website says it’s “a song about walrus penis jewelry,” but the same thing could be said about most political music. The video is based around a video game character named Richard Walrus who is flying around in a little plane and blowing things up while a giant Abraham Lincoln looks on and weeps. It’s pretty deep stuff (we assume).
