Eli Roth confirms that he's working on Thanksgiving

As he’s been hinting for a while now, director Eli Roth recently confirmed to Cinema Blend that he is still intent on turning his Grindhouse mock-trailer for Thanksgiving into an actual feature film. While the rest of the world waits to see whether Machete or Hobo With A Shotgun will prove that some ideas are better when condensed into 90 seconds, a cocksure Roth (is there any other kind?) is already making concrete plans to turn his whole cheerleader-spearing, turkey-fucking film into a feature-length reality:

I’ve been working on the script with my co-writer, Jeff Rendell, who plays the pilgrim in the trailer. And it’s me imitating Jeff’s voice [for the narration]. But Jeff has been working. I said that his deal is he has to work on the script while I’m promoting The Last Exorcism, and as soon as I’m done in mid-September he’s going to fly to California, we’re going to sit down, and bang out the script.

Once again, this means that only Edgar Wright’s Hammer-riffing Don’t and Rob Zombie’s Werewolf Women Of The SS have yet to be developed. Give it time.
