According to The Hollywood Reporter, Elizabeth Banks has finalized the core cast of the Charlie’s Angels reboot she’s directing. We already knew that Kristen Stewart would be playing one of the eponymous angels, and now we also know that she’ll be joined by Naomi Scott (Jasmine from the live-action Aladdin movie) and British actress Ella Balinska (who you might not know from anything). Banks will be playing Bosley, the Angels’ handler, but it doesn’t sound like anyone is on board to play Charlie yet—though that’ll probably just be a voice-over role, so they could wait until the last minute and bring in some big-name actor for an easy cameo.
THR says Banks’ new take on Charlie’s Angels will make the team into international super-spies instead of investigators, with Stewart, Scott, and Balinska playing a team of rookie Angels.
