Elsa's an ice-wielding warrior in the first Frozen II teaser

Frozen hearts thawed this morning as the first footage from the Disney smash’s forthcoming sequel sprang forth from the squall. Elsa (Idina Menzel) is back, firing ice like lasers as she attempts to traverse a stormy sea. Joining her, as one might expect, are Anna (Kristen Bell), Kristoff (Jonathan Groff), and dopey ‘ol Olaf (Josh Gad), the likes of whom are each sketched into their own portraits of peril.

There’s no words here, just a preview of the film’s stirring score and a look at landscapes both wintry and autumnal. Chris Buck and Jennifer Lee, directors of the Oscar-winning original, are back for this go-around. Lee also penned the script with Hidden Figures scribe Allison Schroeder. Robert Lopez and Kristen Anderson-Lopez have penned new songs for the feature, which will welcome newcomers Sterling K. Brown (This Is Us) and Evan Rachel Wood (Westworld) to the cast.
