In news that seemed to have been announced long before it was actually announced, the creators of the Tupac hologram that graced this year's Coachella Festival is now hard at work at creating a hologram for Elvis Presley that will make film and TV appearances, and perhaps even tour. Digital Domain Media Group has joined forces with Core Media, which owns Elvis' likeness, to produce the digital king of rock 'n' roll, which is part of a series of planned Elvis projects that include fixing up Graceland and one of those "today's stars sing with the dead" duets albums.
The debut of this hunka hunka burning digital image will be announced soon, though some kind of live performance seems likely, considering the undead Presley has performed numerous "video shows" in the past. [via Rolling Stone]
