Emilia Clarke suggests [REDACTED] might return to Game Of Thrones
[All men must spoil the finale of Game Of Thrones season five, so proceed at your own risk.]
Here’s some news that won’t make the mutinous crew of the Night’s Watch too happy: Emilia Clarke has given 50/50 odds on Kit Harington’s Jon Snow coming back to Game Of Thrones next season. In an interview with MTV, the woman who plays Daenerys Targaryen said that, while she has no inside scoop to reveal, she thinks there’s an equally good chance he’ll return as there is the character staying dead and gone.
Sure, this totally contradicts Harington’s own comment, the one he gave last week saying, “I’m dead. I’m not coming back next season.” And sure, it also flies in the face of showrunner Dan Weiss’ statement, “Dead is dead.” And yeah, okay, maybe it’s true that Clarke prefaced her statement by saying, “I can, with all honesty, say I have no idea what’s happening.” But let’s not forget Melisandre striding into Castle Black. “There’s some very helpful people there who could bring him on back to life…” she added, probably while watching her Twitter follower numbers skyrocket.
So, basically Emilia Clarke is just another desperate fan, trying to ease her heartache by speculating wildly. She clearly needs to come to her senses, so it’s probably a good thing Tyrion’s running Mereen for the time being.
