Emily Blunt and John Krasinski are making a movie together, since that always works out

Despite having presumably seen what happened in the aftermath of Gigli, By The Sea, The Amazing Spider-Man 2, and any number of other films made by real-life couples that broke up shortly after their movie came out, Emily Blunt and John Krasinski apparently have enough confidence in the strength of their relationship that they think they’ll be able to make a movie together and survive unscathed. It’s wild, it’s dangerous, and it’s just the sort of romantic nonsense that you’d expect out of Jim from The Office, so maybe this time it will actually work.

This comes from Variety, which says Krasinski will be writing and directing a supernatural thriller called A Quiet Place, and he’ll also star in it alongside his real-life wife Emily Blunt. We don’t know anything about the plot, but Michael Bay and his Platinum Dunes production company are producing, so it’ll probably be big and loud. Either way, though, hopefully it turns out better than Gigli, By The Sea, and Amazing Spider-Man 2 did—both for them and for us.
