Emma Stone might star in, possibly be Guillermo del Toro's Crimson Peak
In a casting decision potentially motivated by puns and opportunity for light talk show banter, Guillermo del Toro’s Crimson Peak may have found its star in Emma Stone—whose hair is occasionally red, and thus what an amusing confluence of circumstances. Perhaps this also means the mysterious thriller, which del Toro has described as a classically gothic haunted house story, takes place literally within the “crimson peak” that is Emma Stone’s head, the terrifying spirits within floating through the eerie hallways of her ocular cavities, only to be exorcised when she sneezes. Or perhaps we’re just making things up since there’s so little to go on here still, except for the fact that between Emma Stone’s and Guillermo del Toro’s overbooked schedules, that scheduled February 2014 start date right now seems as solid as the ghosts that may or may not be haunting Emma Stone’s eyeballs.
