Emma Watson to team up again with The Perks Of Being A Wallflower's Stephen Chbosky

Emma Watson and The Perks Of Being A Wallflower writer/director Stephen Chbosky are teaming up for another coming-of-age project. While We’re Young is based on the Adena Halpern novel 29, and tells the story of a 75-year-old woman who feels like she has more in common with her 29-year-old granddaughter than her 55-year-old daughter. For her birthday, she asks and is granted the ability to be 29 again for a day, and she and her granddaughter go on some adventures. Watson will presumably play the granddaughter.

Chbosky adapted the script for Perks from the novel he also wrote, and also penned the screenplay for the film adaptation of Rent, but this is the first project he’ll direct where he didn’t also do the script. Instead that duty falls to (500) Days Of Summer writers Michael H. Weber and Scott Neustadter.
