It seems like only last week we were telling you that Hamilton Leithauser had been added to this year’s A.V. Fest/Hideout Block Party, and yet here we are with another band announcement. Chicago’s own Empires, who made their national television debut recently via The Late Show With David Letterman, will be joining us on September 5-6 for a wingding that also includes Death Cab For Cutie, The War On Drugs, The Dismemberment Plan, The Funky Meters, Mac DeMarco, Sylvan Esso, The Handsome Family, and more. “How Good Does It Feel,” from the band’s recent EP of the same name, has sort of an Interpol vibe to it.
