Enhanced Avatar may be in theaters this fall; 3-D version of Titanic also in the works
In an interview with USA Today, James Cameron dropped a couple of interesting tidbits. First, a 3-D version of Titanic is being planned for a 2012 release. Cameron doesn't offer any details, but he says the project is meant to coincide with the 100th anniversary of the ship's launching. Second, Avatar may see an enhanced, expanded, theatrical re-release this fall. One of the main reasons? Says Cameron, "[Avatar has] kind of gotten stomped out [in theaters] because of Alice In Wonderland." Oh, poor downtrodden Avatar—may you one day find the widespread audience you deserve.
