The folks who cooked up Record Store Day have concocted a new deal to get you out of the chain stores and into the one of the few remaining bastions of independent retail.  If you're interested in finding unique gifts, supporting local commerce, and staying the hell away from the mega-mall crush, head to your local record store the day after Thanksgiving, and you can pick up special releases from Metallica, U2, Bruce Springsteen, Grinderman, Iron & Wine, and even Frank Sinatra.  Take a look at the full list of merchandise, as well as a list of participating stores, and Black Friday like it's 1989.
