Enjoy some sand, surf, and profanity in the Baywatch international trailer
For those who enjoyed the first Baywatch trailer, but thought it could use more profanity, the international version is here to help—because apparently nothing charms a global audience like Dwayne “The Rock” Johnson intoning, “I’m Baywatch, motherfucker.” Aside from the notable uptick in profanity, the trailer also offers a few more plot details about the R-rated comedy. Where the domestic trailer put its focus on Zac Efron’s disgraced former Olympian who’s hired to help create good PR for the Baywatch lifeguards, the international promo spends more time on Priyanka Chopra’s slinky villain Victoria Leeds. After her arrival in the area leads to an increase in both drug trafficking and murder, Johnson and company decide to take her down. “I thought we were lifeguards?” Efron asks incredulously. “Everything that you guys are talking about sounds like a really entertaining but farfetched TV show.”
Meta humor aside, the trailer mostly focuses on action, comedic feats of strength, and, well, more meta jokes about slo-mo running. There will be all that and more when Baywatch dives into theaters on May 26, 2017.
