Enjoy the silence: Lou Reed readies Music For Dogs

Lou Reed, fresh from remastering his noise opus Metal Machine Music, has announced an even less accessible project: Music For Dogs, a 20-minute, high-frequency concert he'll be staging June 5 as part of Sydney's Vivid LIVE Festival. According to NME, Reed will perform the piece with his wife Laurie Anderson on a boardwalk—and, as the title promises, the music will be audible only to the canine segment of Reed's fanbase that may be in attendance.
